DAZN, the world's leading sports entertainment platform, has bolstered its leadership team to drive profitable growth and expand its global footprint. The company announced three key appointments that will help it navigate its next phase of expansion and solidify its position in the competitive sports streaming market.

Patrick Delany has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) to accelerate subscriber and revenue growth. Delany, who previously led the transformation of Foxtel Group and its successful integration into DAZN, brings over three decades of experience in sports, media, and digital subscription businesses. In his new role, Delany will oversee DAZN's operational businesses, pricing and packaging, rights renewals, content production, and advertising and sponsorship.

Alex Gersh joins DAZN as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Darren Waterman. Gersh, with more than 25 years of international financial leadership, will lead DAZN's financial strategy, capital allocation, and group performance. His experience at Sportradar, where he successfully led the company through its NASDAQ listing, and his roles at Betfair and Paddy Power Betfair, will be crucial as DAZN continues to scale and expand.

Darren Waterman, who has been DAZN's Chief Financial Officer since 2022, is appointed to the new role of Chief Business Officer. Waterman has been instrumental in DAZN's Finance function and commercial and corporate development, helping the company reach profitability in 2025. In his new role, Waterman will spearhead strategic commercial, partnership, and transformational opportunities for the group.

Shay Segev, DAZN's Chief Executive Officer, stated, "DAZN is entering an exciting new chapter of profitable growth. Our built-for-sport platform is now available in more than 200 markets, connecting millions of fans to the sports they love through immersive experiences. The strengthened leadership team will be key to building the world's best sports entertainment platform for fans, rights holders, and partners."

In 2026, DAZN has continued to scale and expand its offerings. The company acquired ViewLift and EverPass to extend its platform capabilities and rights relationships. DAZN also renewed premium rights in core markets and added FIFA+ to its platform. Most recently, DAZN has rapidly built out a regional sports business in the US, further solidifying its global presence.

Alice Mascia, CEO of the DACH region for four successful years, has decided to leave DAZN at the end of the year. Felix Krause returns to DAZN as Deputy CEO, DACH, and will become CEO, DACH, on January 1, 2027.

DAZN's platform, which streams over 150,000 live events annually and is available in over 200 markets, continues to evolve. The company's cloud-based architecture and advanced data integration enhance the viewing experience, making it a leader in sports entertainment. With its strengthened leadership team and continued expansion, DAZN is well-positioned to maintain its market leadership and drive further growth.
