DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 4, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- DAMAC Properties has reached a significant milestone, handing over more than 50,000 homes in the first half of 2026, while also securing over USD 2.72 billion in construction contracts. The company is targeting the delivery of an additional 8,800 residential units across its properties, including DAMAC Lagoons, DAMAC Hills, DAMAC Hills 2, Chic Tower, and Elegance Tower, throughout the year.
Managing Director Amira Sajwani stated, "As Dubai's residential market matures, the ability to execute at scale will increasingly define successful developers. Our focus is on maintaining momentum and meeting our commitments to customers by strengthening our delivery platform and ensuring rigorous control over complex construction programs."
Mohammad Tahaineh, Chief Project Officer at DAMAC Properties, highlighted the company's robust project management, noting, "Having delivered over 50,000 homes at scale, the next phase of our construction requires meticulous control. Our disciplined program management allows us to closely track procurement, quality, contractor performance, and site productivity, ensuring that risks are identified and mitigated before they impact delivery schedules."
Dubai's real estate sector saw a significant increase in new home completions, with nearly 25,000 new homes completed in the first half of 2026, a 36 percent rise from the same period last year. According to Cushman & Wakefield Core research, 13,200 units were delivered in Dubai during Q2 2026, with an additional 32,000 units expected in the second half of the year. This surge in completions underscores the growing emphasis on construction capacity and developers' ability to convert project pipelines into completed homes.
DAMAC's largest delivery component, DAMAC Lagoons, is on track to hand over approximately 6,300 homes this year, compared to around 513 in 2025. The community features over 177,000 square meters of water bodies, equivalent to about 141 Olympic-size swimming pools, which have been commissioned in phases alongside residential and infrastructure works.
At DAMAC Hills, approximately 85 percent of the community has been completed and handed over, with dozens of luxury residences being delivered in Cavalli Estates and Utopia. DAMAC is also progressing with the handover of more than 1,500 villas at DAMAC Hills 2 in 2026. In addition, the company is extending its delivery programme to Chic Tower in Business Bay and Elegance Tower in Downtown Dubai, ensuring a comprehensive high-rise portfolio delivery.
To meet its ambitious handover targets, DAMAC has implemented strategic contractor appointments, early procurement, bulk sourcing, and technology-enabled project oversight. Monthly quality and safety assessments are conducted to measure project and contractor performance against defined benchmarks, supported by site inspections and corrective-action plans where needed.
Ahmad Marouf, a homeowner at DAMAC Lagoons, expressed satisfaction with the process, saying, "From the progress updates to the final inspection and handover, the process was well managed. Seeing the home and wider DAMAC Lagoons community come together was particularly rewarding. The quality of the residence, landscaping, and family-focused amenities reflects what was promised, and my family and I are happy to call this vibrant community home."
With more than 55,000 units and over 100 million square feet of project area in planning and development, DAMAC is focused on completing its targeted 8,800-plus handovers through 2026 while mobilizing newly awarded construction packages. These works will establish the foundation for the next phase of deliveries in 2027 and beyond.
