LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Daily Journal Corporation, a publishing and technology company based in Los Angeles, has acquired Revir Technologies, Inc., a software company specializing in digital evidence management. The acquisition, which closed on October 13, 2026, marks the company's expansion into the justice and public safety sectors. Revir Technologies, founded in Austin, Texas, operates the Scout platform, a software solution designed to help law enforcement, prosecutors, corrections, and other justice and public safety agencies manage, search, and analyze large collections of digital evidence and files using artificial intelligence. The platform indexes files from hundreds of sources, provides sophisticated search capabilities, and supports AI-assisted analysis. Scout operates within each customer’s own secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, allowing agencies to retain control over their data, infrastructure, and associated costs.

Daily Journal Corporation, which publishes news for California and Arizona, produces specialized publications, and handles public notice advertising, will integrate Revir Technologies into its Courts, Justice, and Government Technology division. The company’s subsidiary, Journal Technologies, Inc., provides case management software to courts, justice agencies, and government organizations across about 37 states and internationally, supporting electronic case management and related online services like e-filing and fee payments. Founder and CEO of Revir Technologies, Marc Messina, will continue to lead the ongoing development and growth of Scout.

The transaction was funded with cash on hand and is not expected to have a material effect on Daily Journal Corporation’s financial condition or results of operations.

Revir Technologies serves federal, state, and local law enforcement, public safety, and national security agencies. Its technology is available through established procurement channels and purchasing vehicles, including AWS Marketplace, SEWP, NASPO ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners, and Texas DIR. The Scout platform is designed to address the growing volume and variety of digital evidence and records that agencies must collect, organize, review, and share. By leveraging the Scout platform, agencies can streamline their workflows and enhance their ability to manage critical information securely.

The acquisition is part of Daily Journal Corporation’s strategy to strengthen its offerings in the justice and public safety sectors. By integrating Revir Technologies into its existing portfolio, Daily Journal Corporation aims to provide a comprehensive suite of technology solutions to support the needs of justice and public safety agencies. The company’s commitment to innovation and customer control aligns with its vision to deliver robust and secure technology solutions to its clients.

The transaction closed on October 13, 2026, and is expected to enhance Daily Journal Corporation’s capabilities in managing digital evidence and supporting justice and public safety agencies. The company’s subsidiary, Journal Technologies, Inc., continues to support courts, justice agencies, and government organizations across a wide range of jurisdictions, including those in the United States and internationally.
