DACH Legal AI Study to Provide Practical Recommendations
News related to:TRANSFORMING.LEGAL · 2 min read
TRANSFORMING.LEGAL, an international advisory boutique supporting the transformation of legal and compliance functions, is set to lead a regional study on the adoption of AI and the changing nature of legal work in the DACH region, a collaboration with CLOC, the leading global membership organization dedicated to transforming the business and practice of law.
The study, titled the DACH Legal AI Trend & Impact Study, aims to provide practical recommendations for legal and compliance teams. It will be conducted in conjunction with CLOC, a global legal operations community with over 6,500 members internationally. The study will examine what helps legal and compliance functions move beyond experimentation, where and why implementation stalls, and how AI is changing responsibilities, skills, and leadership needs.
The research will be conducted through a practitioner survey and targeted interviews involving legal, compliance, and legal operations professionals across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The findings will be analyzed to understand the journey from initial pilots to routine use, distinguishing measured results from perceptions and expectations. Particular attention will be paid to practical skills, governance, workflow integration, and the support practitioners need but cannot yet readily access.
The initial program includes an Executive Impact Report and an Executive Summary, which will translate the findings into recommendations on capabilities, implementation, and the future of legal operations. Educational and thought-leadership content, including articles, webinars, and briefings for CLOC leadership, will also be developed.
The research will be voluntary, with findings reported in aggregated or anonymized form. The Executive Impact Report is expected in early 2027, with further educational content planned.
