CZECH REPUBLIC, October 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- GINA Software, a Brno-based company founded in 2010 following the deployment of a research project in response to the Haiti earthquake, has led a consortium in launching the Czech Space Resilience Nodes project. This eighteen-month European Space Agency initiative aims to streamline the process of turning satellite imagery into actionable intelligence for emergency services.

The project, which involves GINA Software and GISAT, seeks to integrate standardised satellite-derived intelligence products directly into the command and control workflow of emergency services. These products include fire hotspot identification, fire-front movement, and flood extent and depth, and will feed into the 112 emergency line, computer-aided dispatch (Smart CAD), and common operational picture systems. The information will be accessible on tablets, vehicles, and helicopters, with a link to drone operations.

The General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic is involved in the project, along with the NATO DIANA Accelerator. This collaboration ensures that the node is designed around real operational requirements rather than technology alone.

The project will produce two operational demonstrators during its course. The definition phase will also produce an expansion roadmap, covering broader collaboration with Czech end users and coordination with other nodes under development across Europe.

GINA Software's product portfolio includes Smart CAD, Tactical AVL, and GINA Apps, which serve 250,000 users in more than 50 countries. The company is part of the technology stack of the Czech Integrated Rescue System and has supported international responses to large-scale disasters, including United Nations operations. GISAT, a Czech remote sensing company with 35 years of experience in Earth Observation (EO) and satellite-derived information services, acts as the core EO technical partner in the Czech SRN consortium.

The project is designed to turn fire, flood, and damage imagery into actionable products that reach dispatchers, commanders, and crews in the systems they already use. This initiative aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response by providing real-time, actionable intelligence directly to the tools and systems used by emergency responders. The project builds on the existing capabilities of GINA Software and GISAT to integrate satellite-derived information into the operational workflows of emergency services, ensuring that critical information is available to decision-makers when they need it most.
