CW Pocket AI NAS Launches on Kickstarter with 32TB Storage and AI Features

CW Pocket AI NAS, a compact device designed for creators, photography enthusiasts, travelers, and small teams, has officially launched on Kickstarter. The device, weighing around 1.2 kg, combines all-flash storage, high-speed networking, and AI capabilities in a portable form factor. It supports up to 32TB of storage across four M.2 NVMe SSD slots, making it a versatile option for managing large datasets and multimedia content.

Powered by Intel® CoreTM Series 3 processors, codenamed Wildcat Lake, the Pocket AI NAS integrates AI computing with portable storage. It supports everyday creative workflows, runs lightweight AI models locally, and can connect to larger cloud-based models when more computing power is needed. The device features two USB4 ports with Thunderbolt 4 compatibility, supporting up to 40Gbps bandwidth, along with one 10GbE LAN port. Additionally, it includes Wi-Fi 7 AP mode and a SIM slot, allowing users to create a private network wherever they go. This ensures that devices can access files, applications, and services while traveling or away from a usual network.

The Pocket AI NAS comes preinstalled with CWOS, a self-developed, privacy-first, and independently controllable AI-native NAS system. Key capabilities include AI search and chat, AI album with face recognition, speech-to-text functionality, Docker applications, and remote access with decentralized remote access. These features enable users to transform their storage into a personal knowledge base, workflow hub, and foundation for greater control over their digital life.

The NAS market is experiencing significant growth, with the global consumer NAS and SMB NAS market valued at approximately USD 31.71 billion in 2023 and projected to reach USD 109.72 billion by 2032, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.82% from 2024 to 2032. This growth is driven by the increasing demand for efficient data storage solutions across enterprises and consumers.
