Cuvama Launches Cuvama MCP to Open Value Platform

Cuvama, an AI-native platform for sales and value discovery, has launched a new protocol that opens its value platform to any AI assistant. This move, known as Cuvama MCP (Model Context Protocol), allows sellers, customer success managers (CSMs), and value leaders to work directly with AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and custom-built agents from their own teams.
Previously, value teams had to work within a vendor's login, while sellers drafted their value plans elsewhere. This fragmentation made it difficult to align the value case with the company's overall strategy. Now, Cuvama MCP enables seamless integration, ensuring that the value plan remains within the company's guarded value model, which aligns with the proven numbers and methods used by the organization.
MG Gurbaxani, co-founder and CEO of Cuvama, explained the rationale behind this open approach. "Every value team we talk to is already building agents, and they were going to do that whether we helped or not," Gurbaxani said. "The question we had to answer is whether the value case those agents produce is something a buyer's decision maker will accept. That depends entirely on what sits underneath the agent. So we opened the platform instead of asking people to choose between our interface and the one they already work in."
Cuvama MCP is divided into two surfaces: the User MCP and the Admin MCP. The User MCP is designed for sellers, value engineers, and CSMs working on live deals. It allows them to read and update a live value plan, turning call discoveries into quantified value drivers and building ROI inside the company's own value model guardrails. The Admin MCP is for value leaders, who can configure the value model, set templates, manage access, and report on adoption and results.
The platform's self-describing interface ensures that an AI agent connecting to it inherits guidance and access. According to Alex Smith, Cuvama's co-founder and CPO, "An AI agent can create a basic value case in ninety seconds. That's not the hard part. What's important is whether the drivers are aligned with your value model, using your proven numbers, whether your champion helped build and own the value plan, and whether you have a living record that can be transferred to Customer Success and help continually inform your value story. That is what you need the platform for, and our MCP provides the access your agents need to turn them into super-agents."
Cuvama positions this release as a significant shift in how value teams operate. "The build-versus-buy argument is changing," Gurbaxani said. "It is build and buy. You buy the governed value plan platform so your team can build whatever they want on top of it."
Cuvama MCP is now available to Cuvama customers. Connector setup guides are published for Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, and Runlayer.
