Crossroads Gold Identifies New Drill Targets at Pambula Gold Project

Crossroads Gold, a company developing gold projects in southeastern Australia, has announced the identification of new potential drill targets and high-grade gold-in-soil results from its ongoing 2026 exploration program at the Pambula Gold Project. The company reported assay results up to 24.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, highlighting the potential of the historic goldfield.

The exploration program at Pambula, which is part of Crossroads Gold's broader portfolio, integrates historic production data, LiDAR interpretation, soil geochemistry, and field mapping. According to Rex Motton, CEO and Director of Crossroads Gold, the LiDAR technology has been instrumental in identifying the locations of old workings, pits, and shafts, providing a clearer picture of the Pambula Goldfield.

Motton explained, "LiDAR is a laser-scanning process that detects subtle variations in the topographic surface, allowing us to pinpoint the locations of old mining activities. This has helped us focus our exploration efforts and prioritize targets that show the highest potential."

The company has identified multiple high-grade gold-in-soil assays, with the strongest results occurring at the historic Hidden Treasure Zone and the newly identified Hidden Treasure North Zone. Notable results include assays of 24.6 g/t Au, 21.8 g/t Au, 11.5 g/t Au, 8.4 g/t Au, and 6.64 g/t Au. The Hidden Treasure zone, which has never been drilled, is situated parallel to the Pilot Fissure, a zone that has seen previous gold production and drilling.

Motton noted, "The geological similarities between Pambula and high-grade gold deposits in Queensland, such as Mt Coolon and Vera, Nancy, reinforce our belief that Pambula has the potential for significant low-sulphidation epithermal gold systems. The volcanic host rocks, alteration style, and structural controls are comparable, suggesting that Pambula could host high-grade vein discoveries."

The initial soil program at the historic Pambula Goldfield and the Back Creek Pyrophyllite prospect has collected 1,390 soil samples. To date, 612 gold assays have been received, with 114 samples currently being assayed for gold and 664 samples being processed for X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyses and gold assaying.

Crossroads Gold's objective is to systematically test the high-grade gold targets being developed across the historic goldfield using modern exploration methods and drilling. The company aims to assess the scale, continuity, and potential significance of the mineralization.
