Courtney Pulitzer has marked two years in her role as Public Relations Director at Sandoval Creative, a family-owned marketing agency based in Tucson, Arizona. Since joining the agency in July 2024, Pulitzer has transformed the PR function from a reactive, request-driven service to a proactive, strategy-first practice focused on building and maintaining strong media relationships, achieving measurable results, and crafting long-term brand storytelling.

Pulitzer's diverse client roster includes organizations from various industries, such as financial services, gaming, home decor, and pools. She has also provided expertise to an accessibility non-profit, a large-scale art installation company, a New York-style delicatessen, and the Junior League of Tucson. This cross-industry approach mirrors the same strategy she developed over her two-decade career, founding Courtney Pulitzer Creations and the nationally recognized Cocktails with Courtney event series.

Under Pulitzer's leadership, Sandoval Creative has seen significant growth in media coverage. For one gaming-industry client, media coverage increased by 29% year-over-year. For a credit union client, coverage more than tripled, with mentions up 233%, impressions up 417%, and advertising value equivalency (AVE) up 482% to $14 million. These achievements reflect Pulitzer's focus on driving measurable results and building strong, proactive media relationships.

Pulitzer has also sustained an active practice of submitting clients for industry awards, preparing 24 total award entries across four client accounts, supported by 75 pieces of supporting documentation. Additionally, she has restructured the agency's PR process to prioritize proactive media relationships and forward-planned campaigns over one-off, reactive placements. This shift has not only improved the agency's visibility but also brought an established national media network to client visibility and credibility, with prior features in The New York Times, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN.

Beyond her professional achievements, Pulitzer has been actively involved in the local PR community. She serves as the Membership Chair for PRSA Southern Arizona, where she initiated and produces a monthly "Coffee Meetup" open to both PRSA members and non-members. Additionally, she has spoken on public relations careers at Junior Achievement and on marketing and branding at the local PRSA-sponsored PR101 program.

In an interview, Pulitzer expressed her excitement about maintaining proactive, relationship-driven PR that works no matter what the client sells.

Pulitzer's tenure at Sandoval Creative has been marked by significant achievements and a commitment to strategic, measurable PR practices. Her diverse client base and innovative approach continue to drive the agency's success and solidify her position as a key figure in the local PR landscape.
