Contrail Aviation Support, LLC, a leading provider of commercial jet engine trading, leasing, and used serviceable material solutions, has appointed Stuart G. Weinroth as its new Chief Executive Officer. Weinroth will succeed company founder Joe Kuhn, taking the helm as the company continues to grow its position as a global leader in narrowbody engine and aircraft asset management.
Weinroth brings over 30 years of experience in the commercial aviation industry, having worked in various roles including airline operations, aircraft and engine leasing, and supplier services. Most recently, he served as the Global Head, Vice President of Commercial Operations and Acquisitions at Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG), where he led significant expansion of the company's freighter and engine portfolio.
"Stu is cut from that same cloth. He's spent decades creating value and expanding product and service offerings in ways others aren't looking, and we're confident he'll do the same for AirT and for Contrail's customers."
Weinroth's appointment is part of a broader strategy by Air T, Inc. to strengthen its portfolio of aviation businesses. Contrail, which focuses on the narrowbody 737NG and A320 families of aircraft, has an established reputation for its creative asset management strategies and is an approved vendor to virtually every CFM and V2500 engine shop worldwide.
"I have great respect for the rich legacy built by the founders and team. I'm looking forward to building on that foundation to deliver the highest quality and most timely services as a valued part of our customers' and partners' supply chain requirements."
