BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Construction has commenced on the Harvest34 development in Boulder, a project that will bring 44 deeply affordable townhome-style homes to 3125 34th Street. Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) initiated the construction, which is expected to take approximately 18 months, with leasing anticipated to begin in spring 2028.

The development is designed to cater to a variety of family needs, offering a mix of home sizes: 10 one-bedroom units, 24 two-bedroom units, and 10 three-bedroom units. Each home will come with a project-based voucher, ensuring that households earning less than 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) can qualify. Residents will pay rent based on their income, typically around 30% of their monthly household income.

The site of the development was purchased by the City of Boulder in 2015, and the City provided gap financing to close the deal this fall. The long-term partnership between BHP and the City of Boulder underscores the commitment to creating affordable housing in the community.

Harvest34 is designed with the community in mind, featuring amenities that support family life. The development will include a community center for resident programs and gatherings, a playground, community gardens, and easy access to Boulder’s bike trail network and public transit. The project is a collaborative effort, bringing together a strong team of local and national partners. Sopher Sparn Architects designed the townhome community, and Deneuve Construction will serve as the general contractor. Red Stone Equity Partners is the federal tax credit investor, and Monarch Capital is the state tax credit investor. ANB Bank provides local construction and permanent debt. Together, these partners have made it possible to turn a long-held site into homes for 44 families.

Construction is set to begin in the first week of November 2026. BHP expects to begin leasing in spring 2028. People interested in living at Harvest34 can visit BHP’s website for application details as leasing approaches.
