Commerce Robotics Inc. has launched a new integration tool, CommerceRobo Shopify Connect, designed to streamline the operations of e-commerce merchants expanding from Shopify to Rakuten Ichiba. This new service aims to solve the operational challenges faced by businesses that run their core e-commerce operations on Shopify but also want to tap into the Japanese market through Rakuten Ichiba.
The integration tool automatically imports orders placed on Rakuten Ichiba into Shopify, while pushing Shopify's inventory and shipping updates back to Rakuten Ichiba, eliminating the need for manual CSV downloads or data entry. This continuous synchronization ensures that merchants can manage both platforms from the Shopify dashboard they are already familiar with.
According to the company, the integration runs on the same automated fulfillment infrastructure that has powered more than 2,000 deployments, ensuring high order volumes and enterprise-grade security. The service is officially listed on Rakuten Ichiba's own merchant-support platform, RMS Service Square, and is available for all store plans, including the Ganbare! Plan and Standard Plan.
Commerce Robotics Inc. has priced the service based on the number of orders processed monthly. The 1,000-order plan starts at ¥10,000 per month, with higher plans costing ¥20,000 for up to 5,000 orders, ¥30,000 for up to 10,000 orders, and ¥50,000 for up to 50,000 orders. The company claims that the integration delivers full back-office coverage, including order import, inventory synchronization, bulk tracking-number registration, and change/cancellation sync, consolidating tasks that would otherwise require manual work across two systems.
The onboarding process is designed to be quick and straightforward, allowing merchants to go live in as little as one week. After applying through the application form on RMS Service Square, merchants need to enter the designated connection keys from both the Rakuten RMS and Shopify admin dashboards. A brief testing period follows before automatic synchronization begins.
The launch of CommerceRobo Shopify Connect is part of Commerce Robotics Inc.'s ongoing efforts to expand its e-commerce automation capabilities across sales channels. The company aims to help merchants reduce the time spent on back-office operations, allowing them to focus on other aspects of their business.
