Coloplast gets FSA exemption for transfer of controlling ownership interest

Coloplast has received news that the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) has granted an exemption from the mandatory takeover offer requirement for the transfer of a controlling indirect ownership interest in Coloplast A/S. The exemption is in connection with the planned transfer of shares from NPLH Holding ApS to a non-profit foundation.

This development aligns with a generational shift within the company. Niels Peter Louis-Hansen, a key figure in Coloplast's history, confirmed that the donation and related transactions are expected to be finalized around October 1, 2026. Louis-Hansen co-founded Coloplast Holding ApS in 2023 with Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond to ensure long-term and stable ownership of the company.

The FSA had previously indicated its stance on the exemption in a September 2, 2022, announcement, which is still available. Additionally, the Danish FSA’s press release detailing the decision is accessible online.

Coloplast A/S is located at Holtedam 1, Humlebaek, Denmark, and can be reached via its registered office number, 69749917. For more detailed information, including the company's long-term ownership structure, readers are directed to previous announcements from 2023.

The company’s website, www.coloplast.com, offers additional resources and updates. Both the Danish and English versions of this announcement are available, with the English version taking precedence in the event of any discrepancies.
