CollPlant Biotechnologies Ltd., a leader in regenerative medicine and advanced computing, has announced the addition of Dr. Ruti Ben Shlomi, CEO and Co-Founder of LightSolver Ltd., to its Board of Directors. This move comes following the successful closing of CollPlant's acquisition of LightSolver on September 3, 2026.
Dr. Ben Shlomi brings extensive experience in photonic computing and technology leadership to CollPlant. Her expertise in the physics of light and her role in pioneering Laser Processing Unit (LPU) technology will be crucial as CollPlant advances LightSolver's commercialization and expands its position in high-performance and photonic computing.

Dr. Ben Shlomi's credentials are impressive. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantum and Atomic/Molecular Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, an M.Sc. in Physics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a B.Sc. in Biophysics from Bar-Ilan University. Her research at the Weizmann Institute focused on ultra-cold atom and cold ion systems, while her experience at Intel Corporation as a process engineer further solidified her technological expertise.
CollPlant's acquisition of LightSolver marks a significant expansion into the deep-tech sector. The integration of LightSolver's Laser Processing Unit (LPU) technology into CollPlant's existing portfolio positions the company to tackle some of the world's most computationally intensive workloads across aerospace, defense, and Physical AI.
