TEANECK, N.J., Oct. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Cognizant, a leading AI builder and technology services provider, has launched a new business unit called Cognizant Activate. This unit is designed to help emerging enterprises, with annual revenues between $1 billion and $5 billion, harness AI and accelerate their transformation. The move is part of Cognizant's strategy to expand its services to a broader range of companies, building toward a global scale of 2,000 clients.
Cognizant Activate combines the company's deep AI expertise, which has been successfully applied to some of the world's largest enterprises, with a tailored operating model optimized for the speed and scale of emerging enterprises. These companies face similar challenges to large enterprises, such as legacy technology, rising cybersecurity risks, and the need to adopt AI to stay competitive. However, they require solutions that can be deployed more quickly and are better suited to their size and growth trajectory.
Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, emphasized the importance of this new business unit.
Cognizant Activate is expected to deliver platform-aligned, pre-configured solution kits that span data and AI, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, cloud modernization, and managed services. The business unit will operate with vertically integrated teams and a single engagement lead accountable from the first conversation through delivery. It will launch with an initial focus on the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail/CPG sectors, where Cognizant has deep domain expertise and an established presence serving emerging enterprises.
The new unit will also draw on Cognizant's ecosystem partnerships to accelerate time-to-value for clients.
Cognizant's approach with Cognizant Activate is to provide a solution that integrates AI into the operations of these emerging enterprises today, rather than adding it as a future roadmap item. The company's strategy combines pre-built AI accelerators, compressed implementation timelines, and commercial models designed for high-growth economics. This approach is intended to help these companies realize tangible returns and stay ahead in a fast-changing world.
