CNCF Welcomes New Silver Members Including SoftBank and Crusoe

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has welcomed nine new Silver members, including telecommunications leader SoftBank Corp. and AI infrastructure provider Crusoe, as part of its ongoing efforts to build sustainable ecosystems for cloud native software. This latest addition brings the total number of Silver members to nearly 800, reflecting the growing importance of cloud native technologies across various industries.

The new members, which span telecommunications, AI infrastructure, cloud hosting, infrastructure efficiency, autonomous code optimization, sovereign infrastructure, and open source data retrieval, include AlphaBravo, Ascendra Networks, CodeVisionary, DHH, Infino AI, and Valarian Technologies Ltd. Each organization brings unique expertise and technologies to the CNCF, contributing to the development of more efficient and accessible production AI infrastructure.

Among the new members, SoftBank Corp., a major player in telecommunications and IT businesses, is expanding its AI computing infrastructure and AI and Cloud service businesses. SoftBank aims to become a provider of next-generation social infrastructure, leveraging its strong business foundation to activate the potential of AI across its operations. Crusoe, on the other hand, is an AI factory company focused on accelerating the abundance of energy and intelligence. Its vertically integrated model is designed for AI infrastructure, offering GPU-powered managed inference services and infrastructure-as-a-service with intelligent orchestration.

AlphaBravo provides Kubernetes lifecycle management, hardened containers, and platform training solutions for teams operating in connected and disconnected environments. Ascendra Networks brings live vertical scaling to virtual machines and Kubernetes nodes, enabling organizations to achieve up to 5x higher compute efficiency from existing on-premises and reserved capacity while reducing cloud costs by over 70%. CodeVisionary is the Performance Efficiency Platform (PEP) for technology leaders, autonomous model that finds and eliminates computational waste in both legacy and AI-generated code, reclaiming the performance headroom teams already have and cutting cloud costs at the source.

DHH is a leading European holding company focused on the hosting cloud computing infrastructure sector, providing scalable, secure, and high-performance hosting, cloud, artificial intelligence, and connectivity solutions to businesses of all sizes. Through its portfolio of brands, DHH is deeply rooted in the open source community, believing that the best technology is built through collaboration and transparency.

Infino AI is an open source retrieval engine that runs FTS, vector search, and SQL over Parquet on object storage. Built by the creators of OpenSearch, it delivers fast queries across a billion documents at a tenth of the cost. Valarian Technologies Ltd builds sovereign digital infrastructure by deploying AI on hardened Kubernetes to keep control of data, agents, and business at scale.

These new Silver members, along with CNCF's nearly 800 members and over 300,000 contributors across more than 250 projects and 190 countries, underscore the growing momentum of cloud native adoption. With the shift from AI experimentation to 24/7 production inference at scale, the challenge is about getting more from the infrastructure organizations already have rather than adding more compute. Open source communities are building the orchestration, observability, and infrastructure layers needed to use these resources more efficiently.
