Clym Environmental Services Opens New Frostburg Processing Facility

FROSTBURG, MD, September 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Clym Environmental Services, LLC marked a significant milestone in its growth with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Frostburg, Maryland, processing facility on Thursday, August 27, 2026. More than 100 guests, including local and state officials, industry leaders, and community partners, attended the event to celebrate the opening.

The ceremony included a VIP tour of the facility, which showcased Clym's ozone treatment technology and the soon-to-be-completed interior. Attendees also enjoyed refreshments and learned about the benefits of the solar system installed by Energy Select, the company behind the facility's solar energy setup.

Opening remarks were made by Juli McCoy, President & CEO of the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, and Richard Police, Director of Business Development at Clym. Key speakers included:

- Charles Watts, President of Clym Environmental - Secretary Harry Coker from the Maryland Department of Commerce - Bill Atkinson, Allegany County Commissioner - Jeff Barclay, Director of Allegany County Economic Development - Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council

McCoy emphasized the importance of Clym's operations, stating, "Today we celebrate the future. Clym Environmental will create living-wage jobs, and its use of technology and environmental science makes its proximity to Frostburg State University a perfect fit for the Frostburg Business Park and Allegany County."

Congresswoman April McClain Delaney also recognized Clym's achievements, presenting a certificate of congressional recognition. Kendall Abruzzese, Western Maryland Outreach Coordinator for the congresswoman, delivered the certificate, saying, "On behalf of Congresswoman April McClain Delaney, we're honored to present this certificate of congressional recognition to Clym Environmental Services, in recognition and celebration of your new facility in Frostburg. Your pioneering work in environmentally friendly and innovative waste management biotechnology is truly remarkable. Thank you for your contribution to workforce opportunities and long-term economic growth in Western Maryland. Congratulations."

Once fully operational, the Frostburg facility will utilize Clym's proprietary ozone treatment technology to process biohazardous materials and convert them into safe, reusable products. The facility's technology relies on ozone generated from ambient air and powered by solar energy, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional thermal treatment methods.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony followed several milestones for the Frostburg project, including Clym's recognition as the Life Sciences Innovation of the Year winner at the Maryland Tech Council's 2026 ICON Awards. This facility supports Clym's continued growth across the eastern United States and reinforces its role in advancing sustainable waste management practices for the life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries.
