NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP has announced that a class action lawsuit against Rent the Runway, Inc. (RTR) has reached a proposed settlement. The settlement, which includes a cash amount of $6 million and a stock component of $3 million, is valued at $9 million in total. The settlement is subject to approval by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
The proposed settlement aims to compensate shareholders who purchased or acquired RTR's Class A common stock during the initial public offering (IPO). The settlement is based on the premise that the Offering Documents for the IPO contained material misrepresentations or omissions, leading to losses for shareholders.
According to the press release, the settlement will be distributed to the members of the proposed Settlement Class. The Settlement Class includes all persons and entities who or which purchased or acquired RTR's Class A common stock pursuant and/or traceable to the Offering Documents for RTR's IPO and were damaged thereby.
The settlement will be heard by the court on December 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. (ET) at the Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse, located at 225 Cadman Plaza East, Courtroom 6C South, Brooklyn, New York 11201. The hearing will determine whether the settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate, and whether the claims should be dismissed with prejudice.
To be eligible for a share of the settlement, members of the Settlement Class must submit a Claim Form by December 1, 2026. If a member of the Settlement Class wishes to exclude themselves from the settlement, they must submit a written request for exclusion by November 24, 2026. Those who do not timely submit a valid Claim Form or exclude themselves will not be eligible to share in the distribution of the settlement funds, except as otherwise ordered by the Court or allowed by Lead Counsel in its discretion.
The settlement also includes an application for attorneys' fees and expenses. Lead Counsel, Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP, will seek an award of attorneys' fees and expenses from the settlement fund.
If you are a member of the Settlement Class and have not yet received a Postcard Notice, you may obtain a copy of the Notice and Claim Form by visiting the website for the Settlement at www.RentTheRunwaySecuritiesSettlement.com or by contacting the Claims Administrator at: Rent the Runway Securities Settlement c/o A.B.
