CJ 4DPLEX and B&B Theatres have unveiled a state-of-the-art cinema experience at B&B Theatres Liberty Township in Butler County, Ohio, marking several significant milestones in their partnership.

The new 4DX and SCREENX auditoriums, which opened to the public on September 1, 2026, are part of a broader expansion of premium cinema experiences. The 270-degree SCREENX auditorium, featuring Dolby Atmos, is the largest in Ohio and one of the most prominent of its kind in the country. Meanwhile, the 4DX auditorium is the first of its kind in Ohio and the second developed in conjunction with B&B Theatres.

ScreenX technology, introduced to the Cincinnati market for the first time, surrounds the audience with visuals that extend beyond the main screen, placing viewers directly into the film's narrative. Dolby Atmos enhances the audio experience, creating a spatial sound that envelops the audience from all directions. The 4DX auditorium, on the other hand, uses motion seats and environmental effects to synchronize with the on-screen action, providing an immersive sensory experience.

"The Liberty Township location is a testament to our ongoing partnership and shared commitment to elevating the moviegoing experience," said Don Savant, CEO and President of CJ 4DPLEX's Americas division. "Every new opening underscores our vision of expanding premium cinema experiences, and bringing the first SCREENX with Dolby Atmos to the United States is another exciting milestone."

Brock Bagby, President of B&B Theatres, echoed Savant's sentiments, stating, "SCREENX and 4DX are at the heart of B&B Theatres' commitment to innovation and delivering the best entertainment experiences to our audiences. We are thrilled to offer these cutting-edge technologies to moviegoers in Liberty Township."

CJ 4DPLEX and B&B Theatres first collaborated in 2018, and their partnership has since grown to include multiple installations of SCREENX and 4DX. The Liberty Township location is their fourteenth SCREENX and second 4DX site together, reinforcing both companies' long-term commitment to premium cinema.

The new auditoriums are located at 7514 Bales St., Liberty Township, OH 45069, and are now open to the public. Tickets can be purchased at bbtheatres.com.

CJ 4DPLEX, a subsidiary of CJ Group, Korea's leading lifestyle and culture company, is dedicated to redefining the future of cinema through immersive technologies. B&B Theatres, founded in 1924 by Elmer Bills Sr., has operated as a family business for over a century and now boasts approximately 517 screens across 54 locations in the United States.
