HONG KONG, Sept. 11, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- China International Capital Corporation (CICC) participated in the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong, an event co-hosted by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
He emphasized Hong Kong's role as a "super connector," bridging the Chinese mainland’s industrial strengths with global capital resources.
According to Wang, Hong Kong’s capital markets demonstrated strong resilience and dynamism. In 2025, the Hong Kong IPO market reclaimed the top spot globally for fundraising after a six-year hiatus, raising over HK$ 286.9 billion. This achievement underscored the solid fundamentals and vibrant dynamism of Hong Kong as an international financial hub.
Over the past two years, CICC has played a significant role in supporting leading hard technology enterprises such as CATL and Zhongji Innolight, facilitating their Hong Kong listings and attracting participation from major long-term investors, including sovereign wealth funds from the Middle East and Europe. These efforts further validated the appeal of China’s high-quality enterprises and global market confidence in China’s economic development.
CICC has also continued to deepen its presence in cross-border financial services under the Belt and Road Initiative. The company acted as the lead underwriter for its inaugural Panda Bond issuances in multiple markets, including Pakistan and Kazakhstan. A notable achievement was the Jiaxin International Resources Investment Limited listing, which marked the world’s first simultaneous dual primary listing on both The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) and the Astana International Exchange (AIX) of Kazakhstan.
During the summit, CICC signed memorandums of understanding with the Ministry of Finance and related enterprises of Laos, as well as with the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan. These agreements aim to deepen cooperation in areas such as cross-border investment and financing, financial product innovation, and the issuance of RMB-denominated bonds. These initiatives are part of CICC’s broader strategy to support the Belt and Road Initiative and expand its presence in Southeast Asian and Central Asian markets.
Guided by its core mission of "Chinese Roots, International Reach," CICC is committed to delivering premium comprehensive financial services to high-quality enterprises, institutions, and investors worldwide. The company remains focused on leveraging its professional expertise to seize new opportunities in high-quality Belt and Road development, contributing to cross-border capital flows, deeper regional economic cooperation, and stronger connectivity between the capital markets of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
