DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo., Oct. 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) has partnered with seven of its locally owned shops in Douglas County to sponsor the Auto Jobs program at the Douglas County School District (DCSD). This initiative aims to provide high school students with a direct path into careers as automotive technicians, addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the industry.
The partnership involves a significant financial commitment from the CBA shops. Each of the seven locations, located in Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Roxborough, Parker North, Parker South, Castle Rock, and Lone Tree, will contribute $200 per month to a district fund. Together, they will invest $16,800 annually in scholarships for students who cannot afford the program's costs. These scholarships will help cover the expenses for students who are talented but may lack the financial means to participate.
Beyond financial support, the participating CBA shops will offer one paid internship to a top-performing student currently enrolled in the program. The internships are designed to provide students with hands-on training and real-world experience, complementing their classroom learning. Upon completion of the program, interns will receive a Technician Starter Tool Set, enabling them to start their careers with the necessary equipment.
The partnership also brings CBA owners, service managers, and technicians directly into the learning process. Throughout the year, the shops will provide on-site technical training at the school's facilities or at CBA locations, coordinated with the district's program advisor. Additionally, the owners will donate vehicles for students to work on as they become available, lead coaching sessions twice a year on interviewing skills and career planning, and participate in district career fairs to connect students with opportunities in the automotive industry.
Christian Brothers Automotive, with its "Love your neighbor" guiding principle, has a long-standing commitment to the community. The company's first location opened in 1982, and it has since grown to over 340 locations across 31 states. This partnership is part of CBA's ongoing efforts to strengthen the local workforce and help young people see the skilled trades as a rewarding, long-term career.
The Auto Jobs program is part of DCSD's broader efforts to prepare students for the workforce. The district serves 62,000 students and is Colorado's third-largest school district. This partnership is expected to benefit both the students and the local automotive industry, providing a pipeline of skilled technicians for the future.
