Durant, Oklahoma, Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- This summer, Choctaw Casino & Resort, Durant, located in Durant, Oklahoma, made a significant impact on local communities by presenting a total of $30,000 in donations to charities. The donations were part of the resort’s “3 Months. 3 Millionaires.” summer promotion, which ran from June 6 to August 22.

In June, the June 6 drawing winner, Douglas C., chose the Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance, the largest nonprofit Parkinson’s support organization in the state. Douglas, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2010, benefited from speech classes offered by the organization. With Choctaw’s $10,000 donation, he expressed his gratitude and anticipation for reconnecting with the organization that has helped so many people living with Parkinson’s disease.

The July 11 drawing winner selected the LOH Foundation, based in Grand Prairie, Texas. The LOH Foundation, which stands for Love, Opportunity and Hope, was founded on the belief that every act of kindness has the potential to change a life. The organization is dedicated to job creation, educational scholarships, and helping local community nonprofits fund lasting, impactful community initiatives. Matthew Loh, chairman of the LOH Foundation, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly honored and deeply grateful. This donation is a vote of confidence in our mission and in the work we do throughout the community. The donation will be used to expand outreach and support education programs and cultural events that bring diverse communities together.”

The August 22 drawing winner from Kingston, Oklahoma, selected Feeding Hope in Durant, Oklahoma, as the charity to receive a $10,000 donation. Feeding Hope’s mission is to enhance the lives of those in the community by providing hot meals, clothing, showers, laundry, seasonal relief from extreme weather, and connections to community resources that help those they serve move toward stability and self-sufficiency. Mark Mesiti-Miller, a board member of Feeding Hope, highlighted the importance of the donation, saying, “Feeding Hope is a community donation-driven organization, and this donation helps us keep the lights on, helps us buy food, and it helps us buy all the materials we need to distribute to the people we serve. This is such a generous gift. We are a young organization, and every dollar makes a difference here.”

Thomas O’Sullivan, regional director of marketing for Choctaw Casino & Resort, Durant, emphasized the resort’s commitment to the communities it serves. “Choctaw is more than just a casino; we are part of the communities where our guests are from whether it is through activations, sponsorship of community events, or providing a donation to a nonprofit that serves the community. We are proud to be involved in their community.”
