ChipMango, an AI-native semiconductor technology company, has secured a $1.9 million funding round led by Atlantica Ventures, bolstering its engineering talent development and design capabilities across the United States, Africa, and Europe. The investment will fuel the expansion of ChipMango's workforce platform, commercial hardware engineering services, and edge-AI development.

Founded by Ola Fadiran, ChipMango aims to address the growing demand for semiconductor engineers and intelligent hardware, which is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. According to Deloitte, the semiconductor industry must add one million skilled workers by 2030, with more than 100,000 new hires annually, as annual revenue approaches $1 trillion. ChipMango’s model integrates talent development with technology, focusing on industry-aligned curricula and practical tools.

The new funding will enable ChipMango to grow its operations across multiple continents. The company will establish a European Design Center in Malta, in collaboration with Malta Ventures, and will also focus on ecosystem-building initiatives in Kigali, Rwanda. These efforts aim to enhance semiconductor capabilities, workforce development, and AI infrastructure in these regions.

ChipMango has already begun demonstrating its capabilities through a collaboration with Trilinear Technologies, a developer of high-performance DisplayPort and multimedia IP for SoCs, FPGAs, and ASICs. ChipMango engineers are supporting Trilinear’s verification processes, helping to expand the company’s capacity for consumer, automotive, and industrial applications.

"We are thrilled to have attracted such a strong lineup of investors," said Ola Fadiran, CEO of ChipMango. "The funds will enable us to scale our operations and further our mission of democratizing access to semiconductor engineering expertise."

The company’s platform offers browser-based access to professional semiconductor design environments, intelligent learner support, and industry-standard EDA tools. As a recent addition to the Arm Approved Training Partner program, ChipMango is licensed to deliver official Arm training, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world engineering practice.

"Building the skills needed to support the future of computing is critical to the continued growth of the semiconductor industry," said Matt Rushton, Director of Product Management, Training Services at Arm. "We are pleased to welcome ChipMango as an Arm Approved Training Partner, and we look forward to expanding access to high-quality, industry-aligned training."

Atlantica Ventures, known for its investment in African entrepreneurs, chose to support ChipMango based on its proven semiconductor design and expansion expertise. Anikó Szigetvári, Founding Partner at Atlantica Ventures, stated, "The semiconductor industry's binding constraint is no longer capital, but people. ChipMango converts Africa's deep engineering talent into world-class chip-design capability, already proven through production-grade work for global customers."

ChipMango plans to leverage the investment to expand engineering capability, deepen industry and academic partnerships, and create opportunities for exceptional engineers to contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor and AI programs. The company’s Co-Founder and COO, Jovan Andjelich, summarized the impact of the funding, saying, "This investment gives us the foundation for our next phase of growth. We will expand our engineering capacity, deepen our industry and academic partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for engineers."
