Children's Health Continues as Top Pediatric Hospital for Nine Consecutive Years

Children's Health, the leading pediatric healthcare system in North Texas, has once again been recognized as one of the nation's top children's hospitals in the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report "Best Children's Hospitals" rankings. This marks the ninth consecutive year the hospital has earned recognition across all 11 pediatric specialties, making it the only children's hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth region to achieve this distinction.
The recognition reflects the depth of expertise and specialized care available to children and families across the health system. Children's Health has been honored for the 15th time since 2008 as one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals across all specialties, with the hospital's team members and academic partners at UT Southwestern Medical Center credited for their commitment and skill.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings consider a range of factors, including national reputation, based on surveys of pediatric specialists who identify the hospitals they believe are best equipped to care for children with the most serious and complex conditions. The rankings also evaluate measures such as patient safety and quality outcomes, infection prevention, and adequacy of nurse staffing.
Children's Health Dallas achieved top rankings in three specialties: Orthopedics (No. 1), Cardiology & Heart Surgery (No. 5), and Neonatology (No. 15). The hospital also saw rank improvements in four pediatric specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery (No. 20), Pulmonology & Lung Surgery (No. 22), Nephrology (No. 26), and Diabetes & Endocrinology (No. 35).
The hospital's comprehensive care spans 11 pediatric specialties, including Cancer (No. 17), Neurology & Neurosurgery (No. 17), Urology (No. 10), and Behavioral Health, which was not ranked in the top 50 but is recognized for its excellence in providing compassionate, high-quality care.
