Catrak Technologies, a provider of transportation solutions, has partnered with FICO to enhance its Drivestream platform. The integration of FICO’s Safe Driving Score will enable fleet operators to monitor driver behavior more effectively, thereby improving road safety and reducing litigation exposure.

Catrak Technologies, based in San Diego, announced the partnership on September 14, 2026. The new feature will be available through Drivestream, a telematics-based fleet workforce platform that offers real-time visibility into day-to-day operations. The Safe Driving Score, which evaluates driving behaviors using telematics data, will complement Drivestream’s existing capabilities, including GPS tracking, GPS-validated timesheets, and vehicle health monitoring.

According to Mark Richardi, CEO of Catrak Technologies, the partnership aims to make safety and transparency accessible to every fleet.

The FICO® Safe Driving Score, a predictive and validated driver risk score, evaluates driving behaviors across several categories. It provides actionable insights to help identify high-risk drivers and reduce the likelihood of severe events. Drivers with scores above 710 are 30% less likely to be involved in future safety-critical events, making the Safe Driving Score an essential tool for enhancing road safety and reducing collision-related costs.

The partnership is expected to benefit a wide range of industries, including construction, field sales, and service teams. These companies operate more than 30 million light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in the U.S. By integrating the Safe Driving Score into Drivestream, these businesses can better manage their fleets, protect their reputation, and maintain healthy profit margins.

Drivestream by Catrak Technologies is designed as an affordable fleet operations solution for small to medium-sized fleets. The Drivestream Core solution leverages GPS and mobile technology to provide an easy way to monitor mobile workforces and manage stops, payroll, and billing. The addition of the FICO® Safe Driving Score will allow businesses to monitor both positive and problematic driving behaviors, ensuring safer and more informed operations.

Catrak Technologies has been developing and marketing transportation solutions for over 30 years, focusing on improving the safety and security of equipment components and fleets. With its expertise in transportation operations, finance, and technology, the company aims to provide comprehensive solutions to its clients.

The partnership between Catrak Technologies and FICO marks a significant step in enhancing fleet management and driver safety. By integrating the Safe Driving Score into Drivestream, the companies are addressing the critical need for real-time data and actionable insights in the transportation industry.
