ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 9, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Catholic Charities USA, the official domestic relief agency of the Catholic Church in the United States, has launched a dedicated disaster relief donation campaign in response to Hurricane Isaias, which is expected to bring devastating winds and dangerous storm surges to the Gulf Coast. One hundred percent of all funds raised will be allocated to local Catholic Charities agencies, which will provide critical relief, including shelter, food, and other humanitarian aid, to those displaced and suffering in their communities.

Catholic Charities USA and its member agencies have a long history of rapidly mobilizing following disasters, not only to meet the immediate needs but also to provide critical, long-term support to communities as they rebuild. Every year, thanks to the generosity of thousands of concerned donors, the Catholic Charities network responds to roughly 60 disasters, from hurricanes and tornadoes to fires and floods. Founded in 1910, CCUSA is a national membership organization that supports and represents 170 Catholic Charities agencies across the United States and in five territories. Collectively, the Catholic Charities network each year serves more than 16 million vulnerable people, regardless of their faith or background, through food and nutrition programs, affordable housing, disaster relief, and a variety of other humanitarian services.

To support those impacted by Hurricane Isaias, the public is encouraged to make a gift today. Donations can be made through the dedicated disaster relief donation campaign at ccusa.online/isaias. The funds raised will directly support the immediate and long-term relief efforts in the affected areas.
