care.coach, a digital health solutions provider for older adults and individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, has expanded its in-app music offering through a new partnership with Feed.fm, a leading unified music system for apps. This collaboration brings personalized, licensed music directly into the care.coach platform, enhancing the participant experience and engagement.

care.coach's model has already demonstrated significant results among its daily users. The platform has reduced falls by 74 percent, emergency room visits by 79 percent, and reported loneliness by three times. These outcomes are attributed to consistent daily engagement with the companion, and care.coach sees music as a natural way to build and sustain that engagement.

The service, which has been in operation for over a decade, delivers 24/7 companionship through an avatar that participants name, such as Milo the dog. A team of human Health Advocates checks in daily, catches changes a family member might miss, and shares real-time updates with families and care teams. The service has worked with PACE programs, state Medicaid programs, Medicare Advantage Programs, and individual consumers across the United States.

The expanded music experience now includes genre-themed stations, such as classic rock, Latin, classic crooners, and ambient, all personalized based on participant preferences. Participants can request music or a specific station directly through the care.coach companion, without navigating logins or menus. The companion can also introduce music naturally throughout the day, such as during a morning check-in, around a medication reminder, or simply as an opportunity for connection.

One participant, who was initially reluctant to engage with the technology, found a familiar connection through the classic crooners station, featuring Frank Sinatra, a favorite of her late husband. This familiar music helped turn an unfamiliar technology into something personal, and she began using the care.coach tablet daily, including listening to Sinatra and other favorites.

Lauren Pufpaf, COO of Feed.fm, emphasized the potential of music to create personal, familiar, and enjoyable experiences.

Kendra Seavey, CEO of care.coach, stated, "Music gives people another natural reason to engage with their companion and creates more opportunities for check-ins, reminders, and meaningful connection throughout the day. We think of music as an engagement multiplier."

care.coach combines AI with human support to build meaningful relationships, reduce loneliness and social isolation, improve engagement, and coach healthy behaviors. The platform provides personalized, 24/7 support that helps individuals stay connected, engaged, and on track with their health and care goals.
