TORONTO, Sept. 9, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Cardiol Therapeutics Inc., a late-stage life sciences company advancing anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic therapies for heart disease, will participate in a Fireside Chat at the H.C. Wainwright 28th Annual Global Investment Conference on September 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
The conference, which takes place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York City, will feature a discussion led by Cardiol executives. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the company about its lead small-molecule drug candidate, CardiolRx™, which modulates inflammasome pathway activation, a critical mechanism in the development and progression of inflammation and fibrosis associated with pericarditis, myocarditis, and heart failure.
Cardiol is currently evaluating CardiolRx™ through the MAVERIC Program, which includes the completed Phase II MAvERIC-Pilot study (NCT05494788) and the ongoing pivotal Phase III MAVERIC trial (NCT06708299). The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Orphan Drug Designation to CardiolRx™ for the treatment of pericarditis, including recurrent pericarditis.
Additionally, Cardiol is studying CardiolRx™ in the ARCHER Program for the treatment of acute myocarditis, a significant cause of acute and fulminant heart failure in young adults and the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in individuals under 35 years of age. The ARCHER study (NCT05180240) has already evaluated the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of CardiolRx™ in this patient population.
The company is also developing CRD-38, a novel, subcutaneously administered drug formulation intended for the treatment of inflammatory heart disease, including heart failure. CRD-38 aims to address the leading cause of death and hospitalization in the developed world, with associated healthcare costs in the United States exceeding $30 billion annually.
Cardiol Therapeutics Inc. plans to continue its efforts in advancing the development and commercialization of its therapeutic candidates, with a particular focus on improving the lives of patients suffering from heart disease. The company's participation in the H.C. Wainwright 28th Annual Global Investment Conference underscores its commitment to engaging with investors and stakeholders to further its mission.
A live webcast of the Fireside Chat will be accessible under "Events & Presentations" in the Investors section of the Cardiol website at www.cardiolrx.com/investors/events-presentations.
