HOUSTON, Sept. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Capstreet, a Houston-based private equity firm, has announced the sale of The Colt Group, a provider of online leak repair, line intervention, and specialty mechanical solutions, to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm. The transaction details were not disclosed.

The Colt Group, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Pasadena, Texas, specializes in critical services for industrial and municipal clients, including on-line leak repair, hot tapping, line stopping, and field machining. The company’s services are supported by in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities, enabling it to address complex challenges swiftly and effectively.

Under Capstreet's ownership, The Colt Group experienced significant growth, expanding both organically and through strategic acquisitions. The firm transformed from a regional leak repair specialist into a national platform with a presence across the United States. Capstreet supported four add-on acquisitions, Plant Services, Inc., RJ Stacey, Garrison Enterprise Inc., and Watertap, Inc., that expanded the company's geographic reach, service offerings, and customer base.

Neil Kallmeyer, Managing Partner at Capstreet, commented, "Colt is the kind of business Capstreet is built to partner with, a founder-owned and operated company with deep technical expertise, a strong safety culture, and a mission-critical role in its customers' operations. Working alongside Jason and his team, we applied our Capvalue Framework® to invest in the people, systems, and capabilities needed to support Colt's growth, while executing a disciplined acquisition strategy that helped transform the Company from a regional provider into a national platform."

Jason Box, CEO of The Colt Group, stated, "Capstreet has been an exceptional partner to Colt, supporting our team and investing alongside us as we have grown and strengthened the business. We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and grateful for Capstreet's partnership. We look forward to building on that momentum as we begin our next chapter with LLCP."

Chas Richard, a principal at Capstreet, added, "Jason and the Colt team have done an outstanding job building the business and positioning it for continued success. We congratulate the entire team and look forward to watching Colt continue to grow."

The transaction was facilitated by financial advisors Houlihan Lokey, Inc., and legal counsel Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP for Colt and Capstreet. Harris Williams and Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided advice to LLCP.
