Caprae Capital, a next-generation M&A platform, has appointed Eric Nehrlich as its interim chief of staff. Nehrlich, who previously served as the Chief of Staff for Google's Search Ads organization, will help the firm develop leadership talent, strengthen its management bench, and build the organizational infrastructure needed for continued growth.

Nehrlich's appointment follows a long-standing relationship with Caprae Founder Kevin Hong. The two first worked together while Hong was leading a search-fund-backed company. Nehrlich became an early believer in Caprae when Hong pitched the concept, recognizing Hong's unique approach to building organizations.

Hong, the founder of Caprae Capital, described his initial interaction with Nehrlich as transformative. "I've worked with people who genuinely disrupted industries, and I saw that same instinct in him. When he later pitched me Caprae, I was sold very quickly."

Nehrlich's background includes a decade at Google, where he led business strategy and operations for the Search Ads product organization. He operated without direct reports, relying on influence, analytical rigor, and cross-functional leadership. His experience at Google, where the Search Ads product grew to over $100 billion in revenue, provides a strong foundation for his role at Caprae.

As interim chief of staff, Nehrlich will focus on developing Caprae's leadership team and helping the firm build the people and systems necessary for its next stage of growth. He will work closely with Hong on leadership development, organizational structure, hiring and training plans, and identifying the right personnel for critical operating roles. Additionally, Nehrlich will help establish clearer operating metrics and management discipline across Caprae's expanding organization and acquisition activities.

Caprae Capital is a founder-led, operator-driven, and globally expanding M&A platform. Through its Search as a Service model, proprietary CLOVER platform, operator network, and growing acquisition infrastructure, Caprae helps buyers generate proprietary deal flow, execute transactions, and build stronger companies after acquisition.

Nehrlich's appointment underscores Caprae's commitment to building a strong and versatile leadership team. "Eric is a natural fit for Caprae," Hong said.

Caprae Capital's focus on developing leadership talent and strengthening its management bench positions the firm for continued success in the competitive M&A landscape. With Nehrlich's expertise, the company is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of growth and build a robust organizational infrastructure.
