Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. Announces Board Changes and New Director

ATHENS, Greece, Sept. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (CCEC) recently held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders in Piraeus, Greece, on September 22, 2026. The meeting concluded with several significant changes to the company’s board structure and governance.

Seven directors of CCEC were re-elected to serve until the 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Notably, Mr. Gurpal Grewal, who joined the Board in 2017, announced his retirement. The company expressed gratitude for his contributions and wished him a well-deserved retirement.

In a move to strengthen its board, CCEC welcomed Janet DiFiore to the Board. DiFiore brings a distinguished career spanning four decades, including her role as Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals and the State of New York. Her extensive leadership experience and independent perspective will further enhance CCEC’s oversight and governance.

DiFiore’s career highlights include her start as an Assistant District Attorney in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and her later return as Chief of the Narcotics Bureau. She served as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court for the 9th Judicial District, where she held the position of Supervising Judge of the Criminal Courts. In 2005, she was elected District Attorney of Westchester County and was reelected in 2009 and 2013. She has also served as President of the New York State District Attorneys Association and as Chair of the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics. DiFiore’s appointment underscores CCEC’s commitment to integrity and ethical governance.

CCEC, an international shipping company focused on energy transition, currently operates a fleet of 21 high-specification vessels, including 15 latest-generation Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers (LNG/Cs). The company also has under-construction vessels, with plans to deliver six additional latest-generation LNG/Cs, four Medium Gas Carriers (MG/Cs), one Handy Liquefied CO2 Multi-Gas Carrier (HMG/C), and one LNG dual-fuel bunkering vessel between the first quarter of 2027 and the first quarter of 2029.

The Annual Meeting also saw the ratification of Deloitte Certified Public Accountants S.A. as CCEC’s independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.
