Capacitor Metals Corp. has engaged SRK Consulting to complete an updated and 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Upper Fir Tantalum and Niobium Deposit in British Columbia. This move comes as the company aims to reassess the economic viability of the deposit in light of current market conditions and recent drilling data.

SRK Consulting, an independent international consulting practice, will review all available project data to ensure the updated PEA is thorough and accurate. The company has already conducted an on-site visit, where they examined over 59,000 meters of previous drilling data from 271 drill holes. Additionally, SRK visited the bulk sample pits, where approximately 2,000 tonnes of material were extracted prior to the original PEA produced by Amec in 2011.

The new study by SRK will factor in the significant changes in currency exchange and the substantial increase in tantalum spot market prices. The PEA is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2027, providing Capacitor Metals Corp. with a more current understanding of the deposit's economic potential.

The Upper Fir Deposit is part of the Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Property, which has undergone substantial exploration and technical evaluation. More than CAD$34 million has been spent on the project to date, including over 59,000 meters of drilling, community consultations, and preliminary metallurgical and environmental studies. The 2011 PEA, produced by Amec, is referenced as work previously completed, with its economic inputs now considered outdated.

The Upper Fir deposit has a significant historical indicated resource of 9.6 million kilograms of contained tantalum and 77.8 million kilograms of contained niobium. Additionally, there is an historical inferred resource of 1.0 million kilograms of contained tantalum and 9.6 million kilograms of contained niobium.

SRK Consulting, formed in 1974, now employs more than 1,700 professionals in over 44 offices across six continents. The company offers services from exploration through feasibility, mine planning, and production to mine closure, making them well-equipped to handle the updated PEA for Capacitor Metals Corp.

With the global demand for tantalum and niobium on the rise, Capacitor Metals Corp. is positioning itself to be one of the lowest-cost tantalum-niobium producers globally. The company is focused on being a long-term supplier to the global market, with the Blue River Property offering excellent infrastructure and a fully serviced site in mining-friendly British Columbia, Canada.
