CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 04, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Canoe EIT Income Fund, a prominent closed-end investment fund, has announced a voluntary cash redemption for the year 2026. Unitholders will have the opportunity to redeem their units at a price equal to 95% of the Average Net Asset Value (NAV) of the three trading days preceding December 4, 2026. This redemption date is set to provide investors with a flexible exit strategy, allowing them to cash out their investments at a predetermined value.

Should redemption requests exceed 10% of the aggregate outstanding units of the Fund on November 13, 2026, the final day to submit units for redemption, the Fund will process redemptions on a pro-rata basis. Payment for accepted units will be made on or before December 29, 2026, ensuring a timely and organized distribution process.

Unitholders are encouraged to notify their investment advisors or brokerage offices of their intent to redeem units no later than November 13, 2026. It is important to note that investment firms may impose an earlier deadline to facilitate the processing of redemption requests. Registered unitholders should contact the Fund’s transfer agent, Odyssey Trust Company, at 1-888-290-1175 to initiate the redemption process.

The Canoe EIT Income Fund, one of Canada’s largest closed-end investment funds, is designed to maximize monthly distributions and capital appreciation through a diversified portfolio of high-quality securities. The Fund is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol EIT.UN and is actively managed by Robert Taylor, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Canoe Financial. Canoe Financial, founded in 2008, is an employee-owned investment management firm managing nearly $25 billion in assets across a range of award-winning investment solutions.

The Fund makes monthly distributions that may include Return of Capital (ROC) of the net asset value per unit. A ROC reduces the amount of the original investment and may result in the return of the entire amount of the original investment. ROC that is not reinvested will reduce the net asset value of the fund, which could impact the fund’s ability to generate future income. Investors are advised not to draw conclusions about the Fund’s investment performance from the amount of this distribution.

Investors should consult their investment advisor for details and risk factors regarding specific strategies and various investment products. The Fund’s voluntary cash redemption provides a structured approach for unitholders to manage their investments, ensuring a transparent and fair process for all parties involved.
