By embedding clinical guidelines into Epic workflows, the platform can now identify patients who are eligible for hereditary risk assessments, genetic testing, and biomarker testing, as well as the specific programs a health system offers, such as minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring and multi-cancer early detection (MCED) programs. This integration allows health systems to maintain their existing workflows while still providing patients with the necessary information and guidance.
The redesigned patient experience, delivered through CancerIQ’s Risk Hub, uses information already available in the patient’s Epic record to reduce manual effort and streamline personalized education and next-step guidance. Patients can securely connect through their patient portal and authorize CancerIQ to access supported information from their health record to pre-fill portions of their assessment, then review, confirm, or add details before submitting. From there, CancerIQ helps patients understand their individual cancer risk, learn why a specific screening or diagnostic test may be relevant to them, review personalized options and recommended next steps, and stay engaged throughout testing, surveillance, and follow-up.
