Cameo Resources Appoints Duranya Sebabili as Director and Country Manager for Tanzania

Cameo Resources Inc. has appointed Duranya Sebabili as both a director and country manager for Tanzania, effective immediately. This move is part of the company’s strategic expansion as it prepares to commence its inaugural drilling program at the Katoro Gold Project.

Sebabili joins the Cameo team with a wealth of experience in public administration, government relations, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement. He has been with the company since 2023, serving as the in-country representative and playing a pivotal role in advancing Cameo’s interests in Tanzania. During his tenure, Sebabili has secured regulatory approvals for two mineral rights zones, underscoring his expertise in navigating complex governmental processes.

In his new role, Sebabili will oversee Cameo’s in-country activities and manage the upcoming Katoro drilling program. He is already working closely with Cameo’s Tanzanian drilling contractor to coordinate the planning, logistics, and execution of the program. Brent Strasler, President and CEO of Cameo Resources, expressed his confidence in Sebabili, stating, "Duranya has already proven to be an invaluable part of our team in Tanzania. His knowledge of the local regulatory environment, relationships with government and stakeholders, and ability to get things done on the ground have been instrumental as we advance Katoro."

The Katoro Gold Project is situated in Tanzania’s Lake Victoria Goldfields, immediately south of TRX Gold’s Buckreef Gold Project. The property covers 19.58 km² within the Sukumaland greenstone belt, an area renowned for its potential to yield valuable mineral deposits. Cameo’s exploration efforts are focused on testing priority targets identified through geological, geophysical, and surface exploration work.
