CallSign Mobile, a veteran-founded wireless service provider, has launched nationwide with a unique commitment to giving back to the military community. The company, co-founded by Adam Marr and Charlie Hill, aims to bridge the gap between military service and civilian life by offering a membership network that combines wireless service with a mission to strengthen connections among veterans and their families.
Marr, a former U.S. Army AH-64 Apache attack pilot, transitioned into veteran mental health advocacy and policy work after his military service. Currently, he serves as the Director of Operations for the Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition. Hill, a former Kiowa Warrior pilot and electrical engineer, moved into technology and product development, eventually cofounding consumer technology company Harbor.
CallSign Mobile operates as a direct-to-consumer wireless service, offering a premium subscription on one of the three major U.S. networks with nationwide 5G coverage. The company’s founders believe that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off, and they aim to provide a sense of connection and purpose to veterans and the military-connected community.
From the first day of service, CallSign sets aside $1 per line per month for the Signal Impact Fund, which will support work across the veteran community related to healing, connection, and meaningful post-service growth. The fund is intended to support initiatives that strengthen the community and provide resources for veterans.
"We're not asking anyone to stop being a quiet professional. We're saying the next version of it is to grow into a connected professional," said Marr, the CEO of CallSign Mobile. "Service doesn't end when the uniform comes off. What service members lose is connection to a mission and a purpose, and the people to pursue it alongside."
CallSign's founders emphasize that the company is not just a consumer demographic but a community shaped by service, leadership, responsibility, and shared experience. They believe that entrepreneurship can be a continuation of service, but mission-driven companies still have to earn trust through their actions and operations.
"We're not asking for attention because we're veteran-founded. We're asking for your business because we're delivering a quality product and a competitive price," said Hill, the co-founder of CallSign Mobile.
CallSign Mobile is now available, offering a premium subscription on one of the three major U.S. networks with nationwide 5G. The service is powered by MobileX, which provides the wireless technology behind CallSign Mobile. MobileX Founder and CEO Peter Adderton also serves as an advisor to CallSign, bringing decades of wireless industry experience to support the company's strategy and growth.
CallSign Mobile's launch marks a significant step in providing a unique wireless service that aligns with the values and needs of the military community. The company's commitment to giving back through the Signal Impact Fund underscores its dedication to supporting veterans and their families.
