SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 08, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- California Water Service, a leading provider of water utility services, has launched its 13th annual Tap Into Learning program to educate students on the importance of water conservation and sustainability. The initiative spans across California, reaching from Chico in the north to the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the south.

This year, the program aims to engage students in kindergarten through 12th grade with a variety of interactive and educational activities. These include Aqua Adventures, which offers water- and nature-focused field trips for upper elementary students; Splash of Creativity, an individual art competition that encourages students to express their ideas about water conservation; Water Smart Grants, which provide funding for classroom projects focused on water-related science and sustainability; and H₂Oath, a conservation pledge initiative that empowers students and classrooms to make simple, everyday commitments to use water wisely.

According to Marty Kropelnicki, Chairman and CEO of California Water Service, the program has been running for 13 years and has made significant contributions to environmental education. "Tap Into Learning has been a cornerstone of our commitment to supporting educators and students as they explore the crucial role of water in our lives," Kropelnki said. "We are proud to continue this tradition and help foster a new generation of environmental leaders."

Last year, Tap Into Learning received a total of 138 entries for its Aqua Adventures field trips, Splash of Creativity submissions, and Water Smart Grants. The company awarded 12 Aqua Adventures experiences, 10 Splash of Creativity prizes, and 10 Water Smart Grants, demonstrating the program's impact on students and educators.

As California continues to grapple with water sustainability issues, programs like Tap Into Learning play a vital role in educating young people about the importance of water conservation. The program not only enhances classroom engagement but also connects students with real-world applications, allowing them to turn their learning into tangible actions.
