Orange County, CA, October 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- California Care Recovery, a nationally recognized addiction treatment center based in Orange County, California, has launched a groundbreaking quarterly scholarship program aimed at making addiction treatment accessible to those who cannot afford it. The Care Forward Scholarship, valued at up to $60,000 per recipient, covers the full cost of addiction treatment, including clinical assessment, up to 30 days of treatment, and on-site accommodations, at no cost to the recipient.
Founded by Jason Bouquet, the CEO of California Care Recovery, the scholarship was established to address the significant barrier of cost that prevents many individuals from seeking the help they need.
The Care Forward Scholarship is open to U.S. residents between the ages of 18 and 65. Applications for the first quarter of 2026 will open on October 1 and remain open for 45 days. The program is designed to serve residents of all 50 states, with California Care Recovery covering roundtrip travel expenses to ensure that geography is not a barrier to treatment.
Bouquet, the founder of California Care Recovery, emphasized the importance of the scholarship in making high-quality treatment accessible to everyone.
The scholarship is part of a broader effort by California Care Recovery to expand access to addiction treatment. The facility, which is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and offers a full continuum of care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs, is committed to making high-quality treatment accessible to all.
According to the most recent data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), nearly 48.4 million Americans meet the criteria for a substance use disorder, and approximately 44 million received no professional treatment or care. Among those who don't seek help, cost and lack of insurance coverage are among the most commonly cited barriers.
Applications for the Care Forward Scholarship can be submitted online at califcare.com/scholarship. The application process is straightforward and takes less than five minutes to complete. Applicants are encouraged to apply, as the program launches in Q4 2026, with the first application window opening on October 1 and closing on November 15.
The Care Forward Scholarship covers Detox or Residential treatment at California Care Recovery's licensed facility only, for up to 30 days. Full terms are available at califcare.com/our-terms-and-conditions.
