TORONTO, Ontario, Sept. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Cadillac Mines Corporation has completed the acquisition of the Larder Property from Pan American Silver Corp., marking a significant expansion of the company's gold exploration portfolio in the Abitibi region of Ontario, Canada.
The acquisition, which was announced on May 7, 2026, involved the transfer of all assets associated with the Larder Property to Cadillac Mines. In exchange, Pan American Silver received 15,000,000 common shares of Cadillac Mines. With the addition of these shares, Pan American now holds approximately 6% of the company’s issued and outstanding common shares.
The Larder Property spans over 6,400 hectares and is located along the Larder Lake Cadillac Break, contiguous to Cadillac Mines’ existing Kerr-Addison property to the west. The property includes three mineral deposits: Bear, Cheminis, and Fernland. Historical resources at these deposits total 388,000 ounces of indicated gold mineral resources (5.1 million tonnes at 2.39 grams per tonne gold) and 933,000 ounces of inferred gold mineral resources (6.9 million tonnes at 4.21 grams per tonne gold).
Rick Howes, Chief Executive Officer of Cadillac Mines, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Adding Larder to our already robust portfolio of assets along the Cadillac Larder break increases our gold resource base, grows our land package and further enhances our regional exploration potential. We plan to deploy a number of our 11 currently active drill rigs to Larder in the near term.”
The transaction is expected to significantly bolster Cadillac Mines’ exploration efforts in the region. With the completion of the acquisition, the company’s total land position in the Abitibi now exceeds 27,000 hectares, providing a substantial base for future exploration and development.
The remaining technical information has been reviewed and approved by Kerry Sparkes, P.Geo, Senior Vice President Exploration, who is a Qualified Person as defined by Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
The acquisition is part of Cadillac Mines’ strategy to expand its gold resource base and advance its district-scale Abitibi land position. The company remains focused on unlocking the broader potential of its exploration assets and creating lasting value for shareholders.
