C3 Metals Extends Copper Mineralization at Khaleesi Project

C3 Metals Inc., a mineral exploration company based in Peru, has announced significant findings at its Khaleesi copper project, located in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Belt. The company has extended the known mineralization along section lines KHZ5950 and KHZ5750, with the latest drilling revealing broad intervals of copper mineralization.

According to the press release, drill hole KHZ5825-004 intersected a 119.5-meter zone of diorite containing 0.24% copper, 0.035 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 0.79 g/t silver, and 47 parts per million (ppm) molybdenum, equivalent to 0.30% copper equivalent (CuEq). This was followed by a 164.6-meter intercept of pyroxene and magnetite skarn, which reported 0.28% copper, 0.028 g/t gold, 0.93 g/t silver, and 51 ppm molybdenum, equivalent to 0.35% CuEq.

The mineralization has been confirmed to a vertical depth of approximately 500 meters and over 500 meters in the east-west dimension. Symons noted that the zone remains open to the north, east, and west. The company has also completed approximately 15,100 meters of drilling in 33 holes, with one additional hole in progress.

The Khaleesi project is part of C3 Metals' broader exploration efforts in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt, which is home to large copper skarn and porphyry deposits and operating mines such as Las Bambas (MMG), Constancia (Hudbay Minerals), and Antapaccay (Glencore).

C3 Metals is also conducting drone magnetic and gravity surveys over an initial area of 900 hectares, which have identified additional coincident magnetic and gravity highs. The company plans to expand the survey area by an additional 600 hectares, bringing the total to over 1,500 hectares. The 3DIP survey, which is crucial for drill targeting potential porphyry sources or causative intrusives, is scheduled to commence before the end of September and be completed during the fourth quarter.

The company's exploration efforts at the Khaleesi project continue to define five styles of mineralization, including secondary copper species in a near-surface enrichment zone, primary low to moderate chalcopyrite-bornite-molybdenite mineralization, chalcopyrite-bornite-molybdenite mineralization in garnet, pyroxene, and magnetite skarns, high-grade mantos-style copper mineralization, and narrow intermediate-sulphidation epithermal veins hosting base and precious metal mineralization.

C3 Metals' exploration activities at the Khaleesi project are part of its broader strategy to discover and develop large copper and gold deposits, with the company holding approximately 31,000 hectares in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt. The company is also actively exploring in Jamaica, where it has identified 16 porphyry, 40 epithermal, and multiple volcanic redbed copper prospects over a 30-kilometer strike extent.
