C3 Metals Expands Khaleesi Copper Project Surveys

C3 Metals Inc., a mineral exploration company based in Toronto, Ontario, has announced the completion of new drone magnetic and gravity surveys at its 100%-owned Khaleesi copper project in southern Peru. The surveys, which initially covered 900 hectares, have been expanded to 1,500 hectares due to the identification of multiple coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies.
According to Dan Symons, President and CEO of C3 Metals, the expanded surveys have proven to be an effective tool in identifying blind skarn targets beneath a thin layer of glacial till.
The new geophysical survey has identified multiple northeast-southwest trending coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies, which are believed to be associated with the intrusive complex and the Ferrobamba Formation contact zone. These anomalies are particularly significant as they correlate with zones of copper-gold-molybdenum mineralization that have been previously intersected by drilling.
The main skarn zone at Khaleesi correlates well with a strong coincident magnetic and gravity anomaly measuring 500 meters by 600 meters. Additionally, a second, potentially larger magnetic and gravity anomaly has been identified approximately 2 kilometers northeast of the main skarn zone. Recent geological mapping confirms the presence of magnetite skarn in this area.
C3 Metals plans to continue drilling at Khaleesi to expand on the known mineralized zone and to test newly identified targets. The company is also working on obtaining an amended environmental drill permit that would cover the expanded survey area. The permit is anticipated to be in place by the fourth quarter.
Surface mapping and soil sampling will continue across the broader Khaleesi project area, with the goal of completing these activities by the end of the fourth quarter. The company is also planning geometallurgical work to identify the most effective extraction methods for copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, and iron.
The Khaleesi project is situated in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Belt in southeastern Peru, an area known for large copper skarn and porphyry deposits. The project is part of C3 Metals' broader exploration efforts in the region, which include the Jasperoide project, where the company has identified over 13 skarn prospects and an outcropping porphyry system over two parallel 28-kilometer belts.
C3 Metals' focus on the Khaleesi project reflects the company's strategy to create value for its shareholders through the discovery and development of large copper and gold deposits. The company holds approximately 31,000 hectares in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt, which is home to major mining operations such as Las Bambas (MMG), Constancia (Hudbay Minerals), and Antapaccay (Glencore).
With the expanded geophysical surveys and ongoing drilling, C3 Metals is well positioned to further explore the potential of the Khaleesi project and to potentially extend the known mineralized zones. The company remains optimistic about the future of the project and looks forward to reporting additional geophysical survey and assay results as they become available.
