ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 16, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Burke & Herbert Bank has launched a national video contest aimed at engaging teenagers in financial education. The contest, titled "Lights, Camera, Save!" and organized by the American Bankers Association Foundation, invites teens aged 13 to 18 to create short, impactful videos that promote wise money management. As a community bank with over a decade of experience, Burke & Herbert Bank is proud to support this initiative, which encourages teens to help their peers build stronger financial habits.
To participate, students must submit a video, no longer than 30 seconds, that highlights the importance of financial responsibility. Entries should be submitted by December 1, 2026, along with a completed entry form. The contest is open to filmmakers of all experience levels, ensuring that every interested teenager has the opportunity to participate.
Burke & Herbert Bank will host a regional round of judging in Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The bank will select a winner from each state to compete on the national level. The top regional winners will receive a $500 prize, and their teachers will be awarded a $100 gift card. The national contest will feature a head-to-head judging round on ABA’s Instagram page, determining which videos advance to the final round.
The national winners will vie for three cash prizes: $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $2,500 for third place. These prizes are designed to recognize the creativity and financial wisdom showcased in the winning videos.
The contest is part of Burke & Herbert Bank's broader commitment to financial education and community engagement. With nearly 100 branches across Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, the bank offers a full range of business and personal financial solutions designed to meet customers' banking, borrowing, and investment needs.
