STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Oct. 3, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Breathe Forward Foundation, a newly established nonprofit, has launched a national mission to advance cancer research and education. The organization’s inaugural event, "Glow for Hope," is set to take place on October 24, 2026, at the University Wine Company in State College, Pennsylvania.

Shelly Williams, a co-founder of the Breathe Forward Foundation, emphasized the personal significance of the mission.

The foundation's initial areas of focus include supporting the advancement of TumorGlow® technology, research into CAR-T cell therapies, and early cancer detection and education. These initiatives aim to improve cancer detection, treatment, and patient outcomes.

The "Glow for Hope" event will bring together community members, physicians, researchers, patients, families, and supporters. The evening will center on raising funds and awareness for the next generation of cancer innovation. The event marks the beginning of a broader national mission for the Breathe Forward Foundation: to raise funds annually and direct those resources toward promising cancer research, emerging technologies, and education initiatives.

Ryan Williams, the other co-founder, explained the foundation's vision.

The foundation's focus on emerging technologies reflects the rapid evolution occurring across cancer care. Advances in fluorescence-guided surgery, cellular therapies such as CAR-T, and earlier detection technologies are creating new possibilities for physicians and patients. Breathe Forward aims to help accelerate that progress by connecting donors and communities with research and educational initiatives where philanthropic funding can make an impact.

Proceeds from the inaugural "Glow for Hope" event will support the foundation's cancer research and education mission. The event will also fund TumorGlow research and the Mount Nittany Foundation. Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in attending, sponsoring, or supporting the event can learn more and purchase tickets through the event's Zeffy page.
