Bonterra Resources Inc, a Canadian gold exploration company, has announced significant findings at its 100% owned Desmaraisville South Project. The company’s 2026 exploration campaign, which began in January and resumed in April, has identified several promising targets, including the O'Brien East Deep Target.

According to Cesar Gonzalez, Bonterra’s Executive Chairman and Interim CEO, the drilling campaign has uncovered two exciting areas with strong potential for gold mineralization. The O'Brien East Deep Target, located east of the O'Brien intrusive, has yielded particularly promising results. In drill hole BRDS-26-114, the company found 4.75 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold over 1.4 meters, including a 0.4-meter interval grading 16.03 g/t of gold, which contained visible gold. Another hole, BRDS-26-124A, returned 0.71 g/t of gold over 2.2 meters.

The Céré-Murgor Target, also part of the exploration campaign, has shown encouraging signs. In hole BRDS-26-128A, the company recorded 0.79 g/t of gold over 8.2 meters, including 1.33 g/t over 2.7 meters and 4.05 g/t over 0.6 meters, which contained visible gold. Additionally, a 0.7-meter interval returned 1.99 g/t of gold.

The drilling results at the Mistik 13 Target, located within the project, have also been positive. Hole BRDS-26-116A intersected 1.03 g/t of gold over 1.5 meters, with the mineralized interval occurring within a basalt cut by quartz-carbonate veinlets.

Bonterra’s exploration activities are part of a broader strategy to test deep targets on the eastern side of the O'Brien intrusive, which hosts the Bachelor and Moroy deposits. The company is also evaluating additional targets near the Bachelor Mill. The exploration program, which involved 23 diamond drill holes totaling 10,136 meters, has so far received assay results for 14 drill holes, with five holes undergoing core cutting and nine holes pending results.

The company’s QA-QC program, which includes the insertion of blanks, duplicates, and certified reference standards, ensures the accuracy of the assay results. Bonterra is collaborating with external laboratories for further analysis and is also leveraging advanced technologies such as hyperspectral core scanning to identify new high-potential areas.

These findings are part of Bonterra’s ongoing efforts to advance its exploration assets and potentially identify new gold mineralization. The company’s next steps will involve integrating data from the geophysical survey and structural mapping work to refine drill targets and guide the next phase of exploration at Desmaraisville South.
