MONTREAL, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Bombardier, the aerospace and defense company, celebrated 40 years of its Smart Services programs during the National Business Aviation Association-Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas from October 20 to 22. The milestone event, which included an evening gathering on October 21, brought together customers and stakeholders to commemorate the company's long-standing commitment to providing comprehensive cost coverage and peace of mind to its customers.

For 40 years, Bombardier Smart Services programs have been delivering cost predictability and peace of mind to customers. The programs cover a wide range of major systems, including component exchanges, avionics, tires, brakes, and corrosion protection. Today, more than 1,500 Bombardier aircraft are enrolled in these programs, which have collectively logged over 11 million flight hours. This extensive experience underscores the reliability and effectiveness of Bombardier's Smart Services, which have become a cornerstone of the company's customer support strategy.

The origins of today's Smart Services programs trace back to 1986, when Bombardier launched its pioneering Smart Parts program. This was one of the industry's first cost-per-flight-hour solutions, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of aircraft support. Over the years, the Smart Services portfolio has expanded to include offerings such as Smart Services Elite and Smart Services Defense. These programs provide tailored support solutions for both business aviation and defense customers, ensuring that they receive the most value from their programs.

Smart Services Elite builds on the existing Smart Services portfolio by offering expanded maintenance cost coverage for major components, including scheduled and unscheduled aircraft systems and landing gear overhauls. It also includes cost coverage for parts shipping, technical publications, and support, a guaranteed flight-hour rate for the term, subject to annual adjustments, and Mobile Response Team (MRT) cost coverage. Smart Services Defense extends this offering through cost-per-flight-hour programs specifically designed for defense customers, leveraging Bombardier's 40 years of Smart Services expertise to ensure predictable maintenance costs for essential aircraft parts and services.

Bombardier's commitment to customer support has been recognized through top rankings in both the Aviation International News (AIN) Product Support Survey for three consecutive years and the Professional Pilot Product Support surveys for two consecutive years. These recognitions reflect the dedication of Bombardier teams around the world and their continued focus on delivering confidence, care, and convenience to customers. The company's performance-leading jets are supported by a vast network of Bombardier team members worldwide and 10 service facilities across six countries, including Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In 2024, Bombardier was honored with the prestigious "Red Dot: Best of the Best" award for Brands and Communication Design, further cementing its reputation as a leader in the aerospace industry.

As Bombardier continues to expand its global aftermarket capabilities and invest in innovative customer support solutions, Smart Services will remain a cornerstone of the company's customer support strategy. The milestone celebration during NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas serves as a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction over the past four decades.
