Bombardier Acquires MHICA Assets Expanding Aerospace Capabilities

MONTRÉAL, Sept. 1, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bombardier Inc. has announced it will acquire the assets of MHI Canada Aerospace Inc. (MHICA), located in Mississauga, Ontario. The deal, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to be finalized later this year.

With this acquisition, Bombardier will add MHICA's aerospace structures manufacturing capabilities and approximately 750 employees to support its leading-edge aircraft programs. The transaction strengthens Bombardier’s internal capabilities in aerospace structures, resilience, and operational autonomy.
