LOS ANGELES, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- BlackLine, Inc., provider of the Agentic Financial Operations Platform for CFOs, has announced that it has successfully validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for its PCI Detokenization Service. This validation enables organizations to apply BlackLine’s proven matching and reconciliation capabilities to a broader range of complex workflows that involve sensitive payment card information.

For organizations handling millions of card transactions, even a small percentage of unmatched transactions can lead to significant manual work. Security standards, designed to protect cardholder data, can limit the data available for automated matching, complicating the full automation of these workflows. With BlackLine’s PCI Detokenization Integration Service, authorized users can securely access the payment card data necessary for matching, while underlying cardholder data remains within the customer’s environment. Combined with BlackLine’s existing capabilities for matching large volumes of transactions, this allows organizations to automate a greater portion of the reconciliation process, maintaining robust security and control.

“Our customers are asking us to delve deeper into some of their most complex operational workflows, and automation cannot come at the expense of security or control,” said Owen Ryan, CEO and Chairman of BlackLine. “Thanks to this validation, organizations can now apply BlackLine’s well-tested matching and reconciliation capabilities to a wider range of extensive, sensitive workflows they manage daily. This enhances the capabilities we can offer while still safeguarding the security and trust our customers demand.”

“For organizations handling payment card data, PCI DSS is a crucial security standard, and in many environments, it is a requirement for technology providers supporting these workflows,” said Jill Knesek, Chief Information Security Officer at BlackLine. “This validation provides customers with independent assurance that BlackLine meets these requirements, allowing them to expand automation with confidence into sensitive financial processes.”

While the banking and financial services sector offers significant opportunities for such applications, organizations in various industries, including retail, travel, hospitality, and leisure, deal with complex financial processes involving payment card data. This validation expands the applicability of BlackLine’s existing automation and matching capabilities, extending the platform’s value to transaction-intensive environments where scale, security, and control are critical.

By bundling data, integrating AI, and building trust into each process, BlackLine is steering the financial sector into the AI era, where intelligence, integrity, and trust go hand in hand. The BlackLine Agentic Financial Operations Platform, powered by Studio360 and Verity™ AI, gives CFO departments the ability to scale AI across processes from recording to reporting (Record-to-Report), from invoicing to payment (Invoice-to-Cash), and the financial processes where the finance department demands control and integrity at every step.
