BioLargo, Inc., a cleantech and life sciences company, has expanded its Clyra Medical Technologies subsidiary’s distribution channels by adding Spartan Medical Inc. as a reseller. This new agreement will provide a dedicated commercial pathway to U.S. government healthcare facilities, complementing existing distribution in the U.S. and 18 foreign countries.

Clyra Medical Technologies, based in Tampa, Florida, has entered into a reseller agreement with Spartan Medical Inc., a government contractor serving the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies. This move is expected to strengthen Clyra's commercial rollout and support revenue growth as it scales up production in anticipation of a national launch of its surgical product next year.

Dennis Calvert, CEO of BioLargo, commented, "This third reseller agreement with Spartan Medical opens a direct path for federal government purchasing and distribution. It complements our existing distribution through Advanced Solutions in the U.S. and Al Hikma in 18 countries, furthering our commitment to infection control and advanced wound care solutions."

ViaCLYR, powered by Clyrasept Copper-Iodine Complex Technology, is the first-ever broad-spectrum antimicrobial wound irrigation solution designed for speed, efficacy, persistence, and biocompatibility. Clinical tests have shown that ViaCLYR can kill 99.9999% of 18 pathogens within one minute of application, making it effective against MRSA, VRE, and Candida auris. Unlike standard wound care solutions, ViaCLYR provides persistent 72-hour antimicrobial management without requiring reapplication or rinsing.

Steve Harrison, CEO of Clyra Medical Technologies, stated, "Our groundbreaking technology addresses the critical dimensions of wound care and infection control without compromise. We are proud to partner with Spartan Medical to provide better care to those who have served our country. We are confident that ViaCLYR will quickly become the standard of care across the VA, Military, and Government healthcare continuum."

ViaCLYR has been added to the Defense Logistics Agency's Electronic Catalog (ECAT) and is now available for resale to U.S. government healthcare facilities, including VA/DoD-operated or -managed facilities, Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities, Indian Health Service facilities, and other federal agency healthcare facilities, as well as certain civilian hospitals operating under VA Community Care/VA-funded contracts.

Vince Proffitt, President of Spartan Medical, said, "Adding ViaCLYR to our product portfolio brings a game-changing solution to a persistent challenge faced by every facility we serve. We are committed to improving the care and long-term wellbeing of countless veterans, service members, and individuals treated in our government healthcare facilities."

Clyra Medical Technologies was founded in 2012 and focuses on infection control and advanced wound care. Its FDA-cleared products are delivered through strategic distribution partnerships. Spartan Medical, a veteran-owned-and-operated government contractor, provides medical facilities with A-to-Z solutions that improve patient care and outcomes, especially for America's military and veteran communities.
