BioCytics Collaborates with Eremid for Single-Cell Transcriptomic Analysis in Cancer Therapy

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C., Sept. 18, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- BioCytics, Inc., a privately held health technology company founded by Dr. John Powderly in 2005, has engaged Eremid Genomic Services to help sequence an autologous immune cell fraction that is the leading candidate of BioCytics' immune-based cancer cell therapy efforts. The collaboration aims to further characterize the immune cells that will be used in the company’s autologous adaptive immune cell therapy (AAICT) for treating solid tumors. This personalized treatment uses the patient's own immune cells, which are isolated from leukapheresis products and then massively expanded and re-invigorated in culture to ensure there are sufficient biologically fit cells to be reinfused into the patient to fight the tumor.

To confirm the readiness of these immune cells for cancer-killing capability and to provide a comprehensive view of their mode of action, BioCytics has engaged Eremid Genomic Services to perform single-cell transcriptomic (scRNA-Seq) and TCR sequencing analysis. Dr. Renaud Warin, Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of BioCytics, emphasized the importance of transcriptomics studies in understanding the changes that occur in cells.

Eremid Genomic Services, a specialty high-complexity CLIA certified, CAP-accredited genomics contract research organization, will leverage its technical expertise in genomics to support BioCytics' research.
