Vancouver, British Columbia, On September 4, 2026, Bighorn Metals Corp. (CSE: HRNY) announced a significant move in its exploration portfolio by entering into an Exploration Lease with Option to Purchase Agreement with MSM Resources LLC for the Marietta Project in Mineral County, Nevada. The agreement grants Bighorn exclusive rights to explore and potentially acquire a 100% interest in the Property.
Under the terms of the agreement, which became effective on September 3, 2026, Bighorn has a three-year initial term with the option to renew for two additional three-year periods. The company must make initial lease payments of US$100,000 within 30 days of the effective date and subsequent annual payments of US$100,000 on each of the first, second, and third anniversaries, with these payments not offsetting the purchase price. Additionally, Bighorn must commit to significant exploration work, investing US$50,000 within 12 months, US$100,000 within 24 months, and another US$100,000 within 36 months, totaling US$250,000 over the initial term.
Bighorn can exercise its option to purchase the Property for US$2,500,000, payable in cash, subject to closing within 30 days of the company’s election. At closing, the Property will be subject to a 2.0% production royalty in favor of MSM. Bighorn has the option to purchase half of this royalty for US$1,000,000, reducing the total royalty burden to 1.0%.
The Marietta Property, located within the Silver Star Mining District in the Excelsior Mountains, comprises two parcels held by MSM: the Marietta Patents and the Marietta Townsite. The Patents include 12 patented lode mining claims, and the Townsite parcel adjoins these within the same township and range.
Bighorn Metals Corp., an exploration-stage natural resource company, aims to evaluate and advance the Marietta Project toward potential production. The company also holds an option to acquire the Loljuh Property in British Columbia, which is prospective for porphyry copper-gold mineralization.
The Marietta Project represents a key strategic step for Bighorn Metals Corp. in expanding its exploration portfolio and advancing its mineral potential in the western United States.
